Guests will also have the opportunity to ask questions before a book signing and informal reception.

Wine and refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

We keep our author gatherings intentionally intimate to create a thoughtful atmosphere where readers and writers can connect through conversation and story.

About the book :

Savage, feral, and frighteningly smart. Luke Goebel doesn’t simply tell a story; he eviscerates. Kill Dick is a biting literary thriller that lays bare the absurdity of obscene wealth while dissecting the opioid epidemic with devastating precision. Though the subject matter is relentless, the delivery is darkly hilarious and anchored by engrossing characters. Intellectually rigorous and unflinchingly honest, this is a triumph that belongs on everyone’s pre-order list.

About the author:

LUKE GOEBEL won the Ronald Sukenick Innovative Fiction Prize and the Joan Scott Memorial Fiction Award for his debut novel, Fourteen Stories, None of Them Are Yours. His screenwriting credits include Eileen, starring Anne Hathaway and McKenzie Thompson, and Causeway, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Brian Tyree Henry, who received an Oscar nomination for his performance. He is also known for his role as co-editor at The New York Tyrant and work with Tyrant Books. He lives in Pasadena, CA with his wife, fellow author Ottessa Moshfegh.
